About this deal

Rebound ( R ): Secondary rebound stop will dissipate spring energy and stabilize the suspension directly following a large compression event. The internal rebound stop will also eliminate harsh top-out events and the need for an external limit strap I come from GM products. Im used to magnaride or DSSV dampers. If you have ever driven in a new Z-28 you would understand. The suspension on that thing was incredible. Almost bought one, but that is another story. Vehicle specific design and tuning provides the ultimate driving experience. Aerospace quality components are vehicle specific to optimize wheel travel and clearance

You see, one suspension might be better on-road, providing less body roll and better grip on asphalt. However, better on-road handling typically leads to a harsher off-road experience over moderate, lower-speed terrain. Another suspension might allow you to go through rugged obstacles with control at low speeds but increase body roll and not provide enough dampening through higher velocity inputs. ZoneControl CR: Position sensitive damping with 3 compression zones and 2 rebound zones, controlled by 3 independent pistons I need to finalize if I should try to adjust the height (someway) or get a diffdrop kit and then go for alignment. I haven't done alignment yet so its sitting in garage.

Reviews

Compression ( C ): Provides superior bottom out control through a 2-stage, telescoping internal compression stop. This feature eliminates the need for an external hydraulic bump stop

I've commented about the Bilstein 8112's and 8100's in previous threads, but I cant say enough good about them. As mentioned above, they perform excellent on road; very planted. I was running 6112/5160s before these, and immediately noticed the handling difference as soon as the 8112/8100s were installed. While off-road and only under significant suspension input, you might engage the third stage of compression to provide smooth dampening instead of a jarring introduction to the factory bump stops. Bilstein has been around much much longer than ARB or OME (over 100 years longer). Maybe they weren't off-road focused in the beginning, BUT THEY KNOW SUSPENSION.

Triple piston design delivers comfort during every day driving conditions and maximum control under large suspension inputs The Bump Zone, located above the compression bypass tube, increases bottoming control and eliminates the need for a hydraulic bump stop

Additional remote reservoir that houses the extra oil, now making room for the triple piston design in the main coilover body

Welcome to 4Runners.com!

Some folks might claim that suspension isn’t a big factor if you can crawl at a low enough speed with enough control. While there is a bit of validity to this, you will experience a slip and a bit of uncontrollability at some point…no matter how skillful of a driver you are. During these times, your suspension is crucial!
