Bigender people had two distinct gender identities that their either experience simultaneously or each at one time. Typically, a bigender person is referring to both masculine and feminine as there are other terms for genders combining two genders which include non-binary alignments. However, some people may prefer the term bigender, even if one of their two genders is non-binary, other gendered, or not-gendered, as it is easy understood as two genders. The term two spirit is an indigenous term that should be used exclusively by the groups it belongs to. There is not one right way to perform a nonbinary gender. Most nonbinary people are primarily motivated to do what feels comfortable and true to themselves, rather than attempting to follow any particular gender role. Whichever way any particular nonbinary person needs or chooses to present, express, or perform their gender is as valid as any other.

While the term “nonbinary” or “enby” can mean different things to different people, it is typically used to describe someone whose gender identity isn’t exclusively male or female. Known historical or no-longer used identities under the achillean umbrella include uranian and virescin. We ARE binary. Binary actually refers to whether one is male or female. Gender Identities are based on Gender Stereotypes, AKA Traditional Sex Roles, which are traits assigned to either sex.
