About this deal

After unboxing, you are met with a little foam cutout that holds a great see-through plastic hard case. To be honest, I hate the ones that are not see-through like this. I have so many, all of them lined up and I have no clue what is inside each one on a whim without opening them. I want to see inside before I open it. Thanks to its MMCX connectors, the braided cable of the Audeze Euclid, which is almost 1.20 metres long, can be changed effortlessly. And because there’s no proprietary or exotic format here, users can also use their own cable instead of the one supplied. The Audeze LCDi3 and LCDi4 models were still relatively large and did not come without ear hooks. With the much smaller Euclid, their cable ensures that these in-ears fit securely. The sweat-resistant end of the cable is routed over the ear cups to provide relief from strain. The aluminium housings of these in-ears weigh only 15 grams without the cable in the ears and are comfortable to wear even over long periods of time. Their good fit is achieved through ergonomic design and a hearing extension that, at 5 mm, is not too long. How the Audeze Euclid sound

As above, except that when the music has a heavy low end with plenty of bass and drum action, the separation seems slightly reduced. It starts with a fairly neutral-reference signature and adds a powerful sub-bass, a fair lift in the upper-mids, and a tinge of warmth and musicality. It also boasts impressive note weight. The Kronos Quartet's beautiful Folk Songs album was recorded in 2017 and features contributions from ... [+] Sam Amidon, Olivia Cheney, Rhiannon Giddens and Natalie Merchant. Nonesuch

The diaphragm is nevertheless larger than on typical dynamic earbuds, with a diameter of as much as 18mm. That’s about five times the area of the nearest dynamic competitors, and the housings are correspondingly larger. They’re still no bigger than a pair of completely wireless earbuds, which need the extra space for an amplifier, Bluetooth receiver and microphones. Photo by Geir Gråbein Nordby Interchangeable cables (also wireless) Well, in keeping with its illustrious namesake, the Euclid has certainly led me to explore all the angles! The cable has clear L and R markings (blue and red respectively) - courtesy of a clearly visible strip of colour around the tops of the MMCX connectors - which I really like.

Alternatively, it will be a good IEM for those who have a variety of sources of varying character and power, as this will allow you to fully exploit the different options the Euclid offers. When paired with the Astell & Kern SP2000T portable music player (DAP), it all makes much more sense. The sound image tightens up and becomes so distinct that you can picture the entire orchestra in front of you, in Anne Sophie Mutter’s interpretation of Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor. In the 19th century, Schumann was a lone female pianist in a male-dominated world, and counted among the very best. Anne-Sophie Mutter, on the other hand, plays violin, here accompanied by cellist Pablo Ferrández, and Lambert Orkis on piano. It’s beautiful, the notes from the cello glowing in the midrange, as does the violin. The sound from the piano is fluid and natural, and it all sounds so very, very beautiful. Photo: Audeze Slightly slim bass Bass? No worries there either, it is planar and has an excellent high-quality low end. Separation? Great. Design? Sublime and damned sexy if you ask me. But, more so that makes me happiest of all is the ability to pair with many different types of rigs and offer a slightly different overall sound signature.A serious box means you can make sure the Audeze Euclid don't get chewed by the dog.
