Jay goes to the coffee shop he owned and Cat work and Jay is interested in Cat but she ignored him until Jay keep bumping into her in the train actually he literally stalking her. Frankly speaking, the story started with a 4 star for me for all the miscommunication drama happening, that’s the one thing I don’t like other than cheating in any book. But by the end of the book it all got full stars from me, the second half won over all the negativity and made it to 5 stars. I was continuously yelling in my mind that damm these characters, why don’t they go and talk and discuss things and all? It was an experience in that way.

Us.” There is a lot of story here (in this book) but if you haven’t read Whiskey Lies and Loving Whiskey I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you read them since this is taking place before those two books. Cat is in both of those books as well. Grace is trying to move on after life with Cash, but she too struggles because how do you move on after having found the love of your life. And how do you move on when that same love of your life just won’t stay away even though he hates you with so much passion.

Whiskey lies was an overall great story! It hit all the tropes and made me feel some type of way. Brittannee Nicole really did a wonderful job hooking us in, but also keeping us engaged. I was ready for this book! I was ready to fall in love with the story and say I enjoyed it.

I loved this book so much and I’m so glad I could dive right into book two of this duet after that cliffhanger! I have to admit, the climax from book 1 had me really nervous about how things were going to go forward for these two, because despite how amazing they were together, they kept falling apart everytime a hurdle came up and refused to communicate their fears and insecurities to each other.

Cash is loyal to a fault, he’s a dirty talking alpha that could make any woman melt. Grace was complicated. She realized how difficult things could be for them and while she was selfish at times she wanted nothing more than Cash’s success.
