About this deal

The Ponds Light Moisturizer doesn’t impart any brightness as such but moisturizes the skin well keeping it healthy and supple. And for this price, I don’t expect more. Except for dry skin types, everyone can use this. I am prone to acne but I didn’t encounter acne breakouts with this product. It also goes well under makeup giving a smooth canvas for makeup application. I love the texture of this product a lot. It’s lightweight yet very hydrating and moisturizing at the same time. The moisturizer is water-based and vanishes into the skin within seconds. It doesn’t make my combination skin oilier or drier. I mean it neither feels greasy nor makes the skin stretchy or taut. This moisturizer has a velvety matte finish and leaves the skin soft and radiant looking. Although the product has sunscreen filters, there is no white cast or obvious whiteness on my skin which most day creams/fairness creams tend to leave.

Another thing SAP might be able to do is to help with acne. A 2005 study showed in vitro (in test tubes) that 1% SAP has a strong antimicrobial activity on evil acne causing P. acnes and it also showed in vivo (on real people) that 5% SAP can strongly improvethe inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions of acne vulgaris. In fact, the results were comparable or even slightly better than with 5% benzoyl peroxide. The moment I started massaging, it immediately soothed the dry areas and within seconds, it was all absorbed by the skin leaving a healthy glow behind. While it is true that industrial grade mineral oil contains carcinogenic components (so-calledpolycyclic compounds), these are completely removed from cosmetic and food grade mineral oil and there is no scientific data showing that the pure, cosmetic grade version is carcinogenic.Another super common myth surrounding mineral oil is that it is comedogenic. A 2005 study titled"Is mineral oil comedogenic?" examined this very question and guess what happened? The study concluded that" based on the animal and human data reported, along with the AAD recommendation, it would appear reasonable to conclude that mineral oil is noncomedogenic in humans." SAP (the vit C derivative, not the enterprise software, obvs) is a promising derivative that has great stability up to pH 7. The challenge with it thoughis skin penetration. Unfortunately, it seems to be limited, or to quote a great article from theJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology "topically applied ascorbyl phosphate salts are, at very best, poorly absorbed in comparison with AA". Regarding conversion to AA, there seems to be no data about it, so we can neither deny nor confirm it. It also worked great under my makeup. I wore this Pond’s light moisturizer under my FACES Foundation and my skin stayed perfectly moisturized.

The Ponds Light Moisturizer has been compared to various other creams in the market. Ponds Light Moisturizer VS Nivea Soft Light Moisturizer There’s not a ton to write home about with this moisturizer with regards to the ingredients. They are rather simple, but will get the job done if basic daily hydration is what you're after: you’ve got classic emollients like mineral oil and go-to moisturizers like glycerin. I suppose the phrase "less is more" rings especially true with a product like this.

Customer reviews

Let us move to the details… Pond’s Light Moisturizer Non-Oily Fresh Feel with Vitamin-E and Glycerine Color & Texture: It is a milky white-colored cream that has a texture similar to lotions. It’s pretty thin, lightweight, and very smooth.

We put Pond's Dry Skin Cream to the test after receiving a complimentary sample from the brand. Keep reading for our full product review. This Ponds Light Moisturizer works perfectly fine with my Caladryl Calamine Skin Expert Lotion, Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner, and Recast Vitamin-C Serum. As for the disadvantages, Zinc Oxide is also not cosmetically elegant. It leaves a disturbing whitish tint on the skin , although , according to a 2000research paper by Dr. Pinnell, it's slightlyless white than TiO2. Still, it's white and disturbing enough to use Zinc Oxide nanoparticles more and more often.
