Accessories: Her accessories include a hot pink bracelet, hot pink ankle boots, and a hot pink purse with a chain handle and long fringe. Her belt is a bar of musical notes with two chains hanging on it that both have fringe at the end. Clothes: This version of Ari has a plastic underdress to hold the electric parts for her to sing and light up. She has a translucent overdress that's pink with silver chains printed on it and a blue hem. Denise Saffren: I found a good pic of Cawtion! 😍😭👍 I also remember that the skeleton was glow in the dark. Right? Oh well... 💀💜

Garrett Sander: It's been a while since there has been an MHMonday! It's been a challenge to do as my hard drive went bust - so I've been digging through my photos and papers to see what I can find to share! They will be more infrequent but will still be happening! So let's take a look at River Styxx! The Haunted line was originally to come with their pets, but they were unfortunately removed. I found pics of River's pet raven: Cawtion! Cawtion would have been molded in translucent purple plastic with his ghost bones visible through it (just like River's arms and legs). It's hard to see in the prototype images but it would have been more clear in production! For River herself, she was supposed to have a floating skull inside her head like her arms and legs! The prototype got a frosted look when it got tinted and again would have been more clear like her actual limbs. Instead of getting the skeleton details painted on her face there would have been an actual skull inside! Mark in the Mattel model shop did such a spooktacular job on this head it was not an easy prototype to create! It would have happened too but a girl in testing said she though River looked too creepy so management nixed it... at least I have picture proof! Cawtion was sculpted by Denise Saffren! And River was sculpted by Adam deFelice of the Mattel Sculpting Team!Accessories: The fuzzy slippers are turquoise and have a face printed on the nose below a golden crown. The eyemask features yellow and turquoise diagonal stripes and turquoise lining. Two Eyes of Horus are printed on it and the strap is white. Cleo further wears a simple golden choker and brings along a pyramid-shaped nightlight. Did you know that Kala Mer'ri started off as Kala Klawasaki, inspired by the Japanese Spider-Crab? I remember we were asked to really push what a monster could look like and be for Great Scarrier Reef - Down Under Ghouls, so some crazy designs were done early on! I love where Kala ended up, but it would have been pretty terrorific to have seen this come to unlife! Designs can take lots of twists and turns along the way to final product - it's all part of the toy design journey!

Doll: This Ari has voluminous curly violet hair. She has pink eyeshadow above her eye and blue eyeshadow below her eye.
